Julie Chen Moonves hosts the popular summer reality show Big Brother, which returned to its 22nd season from in August, at CBS.Chen Moonves was one the original hosts of the Daytime Emmy Award-winning Talk show The Talk, serving as host and moderator from the year 2010 until 2018. The real reason she was interested in the show came after she started writing, and was awarded an Emmy. Hosting an outstanding entertainment talk show has earned her a second Emmy. The Talk examines contemporary events using the perspective of five hosts. Chen Moonves hosted CBS News the early morning news show The Early Show for a decade. Her previous roles included anchoring the CBS Morning News and The Early Show. Chen Moonves was sent to Cairo after the 9/11 attacks. There, she tracked down and interviewed the father who commanded hijackers to an eye-opening, interesting interview. Chen Moonves interviewed celebrities such as Denzel Washington and Angelina Jolie. In addition, she met with ex- New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani and Queen Rania. Chen Moonves is also a CBS Sunday Morning reporter, who has profiled stars such as Jamie Lee Curtis. Before The Early Show she was a reporter with WDTN TV Dayton which was based in Dayton the state of Ohio (1995-1997). She also served as a producer at ABC NewsOne (1992-1995), the affiliate news service of the network, and she was a desk assistant in ABC News' Los Angeles bureau (1990-1991) during her final year at the University of Southern California. Her first position in broadcasting was working as a desk assistant for ABC News' late-night broadcast Nightline together with Ted Koppel, who remains one of her journalists' idols. Chen Moonves worked with Koppel in the Columbia du-Pont-nominated primetime special, Anatomy of a Riot that examined the 1992 Los Angeles riots.
